Buddha said “It is better to travel well than to arrive”.  For me tourism is the art and the skill of hospitality.  It’s all about the journey and your experiences along the way.  Inviting the world and showing travelers your home is what tourism is all about.

Melburnians exemplify this sentiment in a very special way.  So many of my guests remark on how incredibly friendly our city is.  We are a very hospitable lot and we should be very proud of it, after all we are the most liveable city in the world.

Melbourne is blessed with such a huge variety of wonderful and cosmopolitan things to do; sports, food, wine, coffee, fashion, art, shopping, architecture and or course our lane-ways and arcades.

With all of these blessings it is in the end the people of Melbourne that provide the world’s travellers with our special Melbourne flair.  For my part, I am very proud to be one of them.
