The digital revolution has changed the way we all engage with consumers, provide services and interact with clients. In 2010 Destination Melbourne undertook a formal review of the digital opportunities that exist for us to communicate with our stakeholders and enhance our publications and the visitor experience.

We have developed a Digital Strategy for 2011 – 2012 that includes a number of corporate and consumer initiatives – this Strategy continues to evolve due to the constantly evolving nature of digital technology.

The development of the Destination Melbourne website was born from the high-level proposition inspired by the 2010 MTILP Summit:

“I always go to the DML website first because it’s up-to-date, full of useful information and allows me to connect with industry to find out the best ways to attract visitors, grow my career and business.”

Our website strives to be a “community” for the tourism industry allowing for conversation, interaction, the sharing of knowledge and provision of information.
